Fireworks, Fairs and Friends - OH MY!

July...July...July.  Where have you gone?  I honestly feel like since I have been back from vacation, it has been a war between making the most of each day -or- just getting through each day and surviving!  With my hubby being out of town for work, it's just me and the kids and each day is like this do or die, rat race that leaves me feeling completely triumphant that I have gotten so much accomplished - or - completely defeated wondering what the hell happened to this day!?

That being said, I CHOSE to capture the great days and focus on those! (Putting the chaotic, stressful days in their rightful place...GONE!)

We started off July with a 4th celebration!  Despite the 100 degree weather, my good friend Stephanie and I took the kiddies to our home town (GO FOWLERVILLE GLADS!) 4th of July celebration!  We sweated (is "sweated" a word?!) our tails off, but the kids were such troopers and we had a great time!  Who says small towns can't rock it!?!?

On a side note...one of the greatest things about this summer has been our NEW deck that my fabulous husband knocked out in 3 days, before he went out of town!  To say that a rectangular patch of wood can make all the difference in the world for a summer is an understatement!! I LOVE OUR DECK!! Greatest thing ever!  We hang out and blow bubbles...

My favorite is going out there in the morning with my tea and hanging with the kids, enjoying the morning sun! It is a wonderful addition to our house!  Thank you Hubby!

And to wrap up July, the annual FOWLERVILLE FAIR!!  With yet another 900 degree day....Stephanie and I took the kids out again!  Did the heat bother us...nope!! A GREAT time was had by all!!

Christopher is tall enough to go on some of the kiddie rides.  We thought we would try out the kids Ferris wheel, being caged in with a belt for the kids, it was totally safe.  Christopher was fine as long as he was near ground...as soon as it got to the top he started wailing and this pic is on a down swing.  He did good for his first fair ride!

Six Months on the Fly!

OK...So I've been completely delinquent!  I could give some excuses, but really I just haven't had it in me to blog these past six months.  Creative juices have been dried up and non-existent.  But lately I'm feeling recharged, revamped, and renewed.  So hang on and here we go - six months on the fly starts NOW!

January ~ My Girl turned 4!!!  It was a winter wonderland/at the last minute Snow White themed party!

This was the after party!! Carly's Bestest Buddy Alaina came over for some post-party fun!

February ~ We visited our favorite spot, Potter Park Zoo, to check out the tiger cubs!  They were too cute, even if they did want my son as a snack!

We also said hello to the resident Lion, Snow Leopard and Red Panda while we were there!

March ~  Good ole' Chuckie E Cheese!!  Perfect for letting off steam and hanging out with friends!  But everyone had fun!

*Side note: apparently March was also the month, my camera couldn't take a clear picture?!

My Girl also made her first trip to the dentist!! NO cavities, she was a brave girl!

April ~ Easter!  It was a fun but slightly lonely, Chris went out of town for work right before the special day!  But the kids and I made the best of it, and Christopher had a wonderful first Easter!

May ~ Well the big day came for my little guy!  He turned ONE and we had quite the bash for him!  However ... I don't have any pictures yet!  I know I know, what kind of Mom am I?!?!  They are coming!  We did go get professional pictures done!  I have those!

Carly got her pics taken too - she was not so cooperative ....

June ~ Vacation time!!  I waited six months for this!!  It was soooo worth the wait!  We went to Hilton Head Island with family and it was wonderful....
