Big Girl, Big Fun

So my big girl is making all kinds of wonderful strides in her new Tennessee life.  School is going phenomenal for her, she has fit seamlessly into her class, and she has found such a sweet little group of girls that are her friends now!  (She of course talks all the time about her Michigan friends meeting her new Tennessee friends - I don't have the heart to burst her bubble on that one yet!)

In one of her many birthday invitations we found this wonderful place called BounceU! It's a whole place full of inflatable bouncy fun!

Loved seeing her running and playing with her buddies!

And then as if seeing her in her glory with her friends wasn't enough to remind me how fast she is growing up, THIS goes and happens...

Yeah - I was pretty grossed out by this, and she loved coming up to me and smiling at me with her snaggle tooth hanging out like the picture on the right!

We are minus one in the tooth department! (With the second close to follow!)

Too much growing up going on here!

Easter Fun

Well I tried to bring as much Easter traditions as I could to Tennessee with us.  Usually we all color Easter eggs on Good Friday, however, this year Chris's dad and step-mom came up to celebrate with so we held off a day and colored them on Saturday.

It was fun - hectic - but fun.

This was Christopher's first year of actually knowing what's going on with the whole egg coloring thing.  There were several "egg casualties" in all his excitement to get the egg into the color bowl.  Chris and I both tried, but no one could contain his exuberance!

On a bright note: In a new house, there were SEVERAL NEW spots in which to hide Easter eggs and Easter baskets.

On a not so bright note: The "Easter Bunny" should not hide eggs after 4 (or 5) glasses of wine. All kinds of confusion the next day in trying to remember if we got all of them back into the fridge! Silly Rabbit, wine is for AFTER hiding the eggs!

Birthday Boy

He's THREE!!  Can't believe it.  Where did the time go???

Last years bday

We had a little celebration for him at my brother in laws pool and it was a wonderful time! Hot, sunny, and even though the water was a tad bit chilly, we were brave and made the most of it!
(Sorry no pics, I was either chasing and looking after my boy who was too excited about being at the pool, or I was being thrown in the pool by my husband!)

But my boy did get a special delivery from his little girlfriend in MI! The look on his face when the mailman dropped it off was awesome!

Love my boy so much!

Sibling Love

Love that my two kiddos love each other! Not always, but most of the time...
Morning hockey game on the deck.

Tiger game fun! It was their first baseball game!
Go Tigers!!

Christmas 2013

Ferris State hockey game!  Go Bulldogs! #10 is our favorite!

I love to capture moments like these...

One of the best pictures, because the story of this is that they hi-jacked Grandma's iPad and took a bunch of pictures of themselves.  This was one of them!

It's All a Blur

It was just yesterday, I was taking her home from the hospital.  I was wondering if I would ever get a decent nights sleep again.  I was waiting for her to smile, say her first word, crawl, take her first step.

Now, she is done with pre-school and is half way through kindergarten!

First Day of Pre-School and Carly's Pre-School pictures!

Preschool graduation ceremony.

First Day of Kindergarten.... All the worrying I did over how she would adjust, once again she amazed me by exceeding all my expectations and squashing any reservations I had for her!

Even with our big move, she has excelled and astounded me. Her new school is amazing and she absolutely loves it!

All smiles for the start at her new Tennessee school!

How and WHEN did this all happen!??!  Where is my baby?  Who is this young lady?  We are so blessed to have her!

Who will she become?  How do we help her figure out her path?

One thing is for sure ~ She certainly knows what she wants and she has a wild side.  I gave her total freedom on picking out her new bedding...

With all the family that my girl has in her life, I know she will never want for guidance, support or love. I'm grateful for all the help they give, and together we will make sure my girl grows to be the best she can!

Love her!
